The SBS MBA curriculum consists of thirteen compulsory core foundational course units to be taken and passed by all candidates. Students must take a further three compulsory leadership enhancement course units and at least another two elective units, after which they will be eligible to undertake research work leading to the preparation and presentation of a dissertation.

As part of our MBA Program, participants also undertake a research project, a capstone week at the end of their MBA as well as a one-week international module at IESE Business School (Barcelona,Spain) whereby the theme is Managing Globally. This adds to the world-class insights relevant to you as you apply this acquired knowledge.
In order to develop the students' global business management skills and perspective they also travel to one of our partner top international business schools for a one-week intensive course in Global Business. Aspects covered during the module include Global Business Strategy, Global Marketing, Cross-cultural Management, and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Total tuition fee for the two year program (2012/2013) amounts to KShs 962, 500. Additional costs include: An international module which is an integral part of the program that takes one week at IESE Business School, for an estimated cost of KShs 350,000 (* Subject to market rates). Text books: KShs 45,000 per year.

Classes run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturday mornings from 8:15 am to 1:30 pm.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ managerial work experience. We administer our own aptitude test called the Graduate Entrance Exam (GEE). In lieu of this, a candidate may present their GMAT results if they are less than four years old. The application fee is KShs 5,000 payable upon registration for the entrance exam or upon submission of GMAT results. In addition, candidates must meet one of the following academic qualifications:

• Holders of First Class or Upper Second Class honours degrees in the relevant academic fields from recognized universities.
• Holders of other related qualifications from recognized universities, considered by the Academic Council as equivalent to a First Class or Upper Second Class degree.
• Holders of the Lower Second Class Degrees, plus post graduate diplomas or certificates of diploma level or equivalent.
