Edward heads the Academic and Research centre at the Business School. He has numerous achievements and work experience having recently completed his PhD in Management from IESE Business School in Spain. He has worked as the deputy director and lecturer for the Faculty of IT in Strathmore, as well as a lecturer at the University of Nairobi. He has laudable publications under his sleeve based on the organisations that he has been involved with; IESE, University of Nairobi and Nairobi Stock Exchange.

Dr. Freddie R. Acosta is a Senior Lecturer in Management Information Systems at Strathmore Business School. He is a management consultant in the areas of IT Strategic Planning and Development Education. He has worked as a Computer Programmer and System Network Engineer in his early career in the Philippines before venturing into computer business where he put up 3 companies. Upon joining the academe, he occupied academic leadership roles as Head of Computer Science and Computer Engineering Departments at University of Baguio, Head of Computer Science Department at Olivarez College, Coordinator of the School of Graduate Studies and Director of Academic and Research at the Faculty of Information Technology, Strathmore University.
Aside from teaching, Dr Acosta is also actively involved in research and consultancy where he wrote IT Strategic Plans for private companies. Dr Acosta is a prolific case teacher and case writer. He has travelled extensively around Africa as a core faculty member of the Association of African Business Schools’ Teaching the Practice of Management and as Visiting Lecturer of MIS to other business schools. His current research interests are Strategic Information Systems, Technological Innovation and Organizational Transformation, Impact of ICT on Organizations and Society, Information Resource Management, IT Project Management, IT and Business Education. He is an active member of the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) and Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). He holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology (1993), an MBA in Business Technologies (1998), a Masters in Business Education (2001) and a PhD in Development Education and IT Strategy (2004), from University of Baguio, Philippines. He also finished some academic units in MSc in Information Technology and MSc in Computer Science at Saint Louis University and University of the Cordilleras, respectively. George Njenga is a lecturer in ethics and management. He is an accountant professional and educator at Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya. He is The Director of Strathmore Business School and is responsible for the entire formation and execution of the University’s plans for its MBA initiative and Executive Business Education. Mr. Njenga served as Strathmore’s Director of the School of Accountancy and Distance Learning Centre of Strathmore University. Before entering the education sector, Mr. Njenga served in the private sector as Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young in Nairobi. He also acted as receiver on the firm’s behalf of Golden Beach Hotel in a significant local insolvency case. In addition to his professional duties, Mr. Njenga is a Director of Pacis Insurance Company plc, board member of Waumini Insurance Brokers and Medical Supplies (MEDS) plc in Nairobi.

DR.JAMES BOYD McFIE is a lecturer in Management Accounting and Financial Reporting and Analysis. Dr. McFie has a PHD in Accounting, University of Strathclyde and M.A. (Mathematics), Oxford University. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. Dr. McFie has exemplary industry experience and has been a Training Manager, Ernst and Young and a member of Education and Training Committee, Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Capital Markets Authority and a Trustee in the Centre for Corporate Governance. Dr. McFie has written published documents including, Business Combinations and the Equity Method of Accounting, Accounting for Leasehold Land in Kenya.

Professor John Odhiambo is a lecturer in Mathematics and Statistics. He is currently the Vice-Chancellor, Strathmore University. He has a PHD in Statistics from the University of Nairobi. Professor Odhiambo is a member of several professional bodies including International Biometric Society, the Kenya Mathematical Society and the Kenya Meteorological Society among others. Professor Odhiambo has exemplary industrial experience and has served as Consultant Statistician to the Population Council and Rockefeller Foundation's Africa Regional Program. He is also the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Kenya Inter-University Network of Mathematics and Computer Science Institutions and the Chairman International Biometric Society, Group Kenya. Professor Odhiambo is a recipient of The Tutorial Fellowship award and Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship among other awards. He is also involved in research and has written numerous published articles, among them, Strengthening Teaching and Research in Mathematics in the Country and The Potential of Group Screening Designs in Management of AIDS crisis in Africa.

Dr John Muriithi is CEO of the Mater Hospital, Nairobi. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with emphasis on services marketing. He has taught marketing and management at the United States International University in Nairobi and San Diego. John has over 18 years hands on experience in marketing and management gained in the healthcare and fast moving consumer goods sectors. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Education, John taught high school chemistry for two years (1984-1986). In 1987 John joined the Pharmaceutical company Warner Lambert/Pfizer East Africa as marketing assistant to the CEO. Subsequently he worked as head of sales for the Boots Company in Nairobi and regional Marketing Director for Sara Lee (East and Central Africa) Between 2001 and 2003 John served as Chief Executive of SC Johnson East Africa as well as on the management board of SC Johnson sub Saharan Africa. In 2006 John gained his DBA from the Marshal Goldsmith School of Business in California and has since returned to full time management and part time teaching in Nairobi. KAMAU KURIA is an expert in Project management and Strategy. He has a Masters of Business Administration (Small Business and Marketing), Concordia University and is a member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. Mr. Kuria has worked in the industry extensively and is currently the Regional Head of Change at Barclays Bank. He has solid experience in financial evaluations and feasibility studies and has carried out assignments with regards to the same, for The World Bank, Bamburi Cement, Security Printers Ltd. among other companies. Mr. Kuria has a strong entrepreneurial and commercial experience gained in founding and running his own company, Quantum Consultants Ltd. He is a recipient of the Prestigious Leadership Award in 2000 for the whole of the African Great Plains (now Microsoft Business Solutions)

Dr. Emmanuel Kodzi Jr. has been actively involved in the world of business through over 8 years in various managerial roles, and for the recent 8 years in academic research and teaching. Through his connection with both industry and academia he has maintained a focus on manufacturing competitiveness and, more recently, how it interfaces with supply chain management. He served a postdoctoral year at the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University (USA), then as Assistant Professor of Operations Management at Ashesi University (Ghana) before joining Strathmore Business School. He has published in peer-reviewed journals on process strategy, manufacturing competitiveness, and instructional effectiveness and presented in several conferences. His major areas of teaching are Operations Management, New Product Development, Supply Chain Management, and Contemporary Manufacturing Concepts. Dr. Kodzi’s current research interests include logistics systems in emerging economies, and the interface between supply chain responsiveness and new product development.

Dr. Mulengani Katwalo is the director of The Strathmore Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness and is also Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management at Strathmore Business School, Strathmore University. Dr. Mulengani has lectured in the Strategy and management field for over fifteen years. He is a management consultant in the areas of strategic management, change management and business development, and has consulted and work with both private, Public, as well as the voluntary sectors.
He holds a BA from Makerere University (UG), an MBA from The University of Wolverhampton (UK) and a PhD from Bradford School of Management, University of Bradford (UK). He also holds other professional and teaching qualifications.
His research interest is in the area of SME competitiveness and competence development. His writings have focussed on the competence development processes and competitiveness particularly at the firm level. Other research has focussed on the role of building a resource base as a source of competitive advantage for SMEs. He is the current VP for membership of the International Academy of African Business and Development (IAABD) and manuscript reviewer for the Journal of African Business (JAB), an author of both academic and non academic literature as well as guest columnist for many publications such as Business daily.

Dr.Margaret Kobia is a Lecturer in Management, Entrepreneurship and Research Methodology. She is currently the Director and Chief Executive of Kenya Institute of Administration. Dr. Kobia has vast experience in Management and has been the Deputy Registrar and Director, Students’ Welfare Services Board. She has also worked with the Commission for Higher Education as the Assistant Commission Secretary. Dr. Kobia is a recipient of The Ministry of education Scholarship and Leadership Grant Scholarship from General Board of Global Ministries. Dr. Kobia is also involved in research is currently writing three teaching cases for Business Schools in Africa through International Finance Corporation (IFC) [World Bank Group] sponsored program (Ongoing). She has also undertaken research in the areas of Small and Medium Enterprises in Kenya, Regulation and quality Assurance Mechanisms for Transnational Commercial Education Providers in Kenya among others.

Dr Silas Onyango is a lecturer in Financial Engineering. He has a Doctorate in Financial Mathematics. Dr. Onyango has headed committees charged with the responsibility of developing courses including Bsc. (Actuarial Science), Bsc. (Applied Statistics), PHD-Applied Statistics, Maseno University. Dr. Onyango is a member of The Bachelier Finance Society and Bernouli Society. Dr. Onyango focuses his research on Financial Mathematics and his ongoing research currently is logistic Brownian motions and application in Finance. Dr. Onyango has made distinguished presentations, both locally and abroad. He is a recipient of the Kenya Government Scholarship (PHD) and won Government of Kenya Grant to mount Statistical Training Course for non-statisticians in Western Kenya at Maseno University, Kenya. 
Peter holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Ashridge Business School, Berkhamsted, UK; is a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant and Certified Public Secretary, and an alumnus of IESE Business School Advanced Management Program. He has over 25 years experience in business strategy development and implementation, business development, financial management, management information systems and human resource management, having worked in senior positions in various firms including being Finance Director of Tiomin Kenya Limited and Business Development Director of Oserian Development Company Ltd. (Oserian Flowers). Peter, a management consultant and a Senior Associate of the Balanced Scorecard Institute, is also the Director of Strategy, Finance and Operation of the Strathmore Business School, in charge of support services and coordinating the development and execution of the strategy of the School. As a management consultant, Peter has facilitated numerous strategic planning workshops and provided technical support and assistance to Balanced Scorecard Institute (BSCI) workshops.

Dr. Ovadje has a doctorate in Business Administration from IESE Business School, Spain. She leads sessions in Human Resource Management, Leadership & Organizational Change in both local and international programmes. She is an active consultant to industry. Her current research interests include Change Management, Human Resource Management & Performance, and Knowledge Management. Dr. Ovadje was one of the recipients of the African Management Scholar Award in 2005. She is a pioneer member of faculty of the Lagos Business School.

Dr Mwangi is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg - PhD. in Organizational Performance and Change Management (2004), the University of the Witwatersrand - Wits Business School in Johannesburg - MBA (1995) and the University of Nairobi (Kenya) – BA Econ. (1988). Dr Mwangi is also a Certified Public Accountant and an accredited Organizational Assessor with the UK based Investors in People Organizational Performance standard.
His career spanning a period of 25 years has been varied and enriching in terms of Management and Leadership experience. He is currently the Managing Director of Sasini Ltd, a publicly listed Agribusiness involved in the growing processing and marketing of Tea, Coffee and Dairy Products in Kenya.
In the past he has worked as: Associate Director with the Consultative Group in International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) IAU where he was responsible for developing the groups Enterprise Wide Risk Management Systems in various Agricultural Research Centres in Africa, Europe and Asia in addition to supporting the development of the Africa Region Internal Audit function.(2004-2008)
He has also worked as Managing Director of Maisha Consulting based in Johannesburg (1997-2004), Finance Director with the Independent Mediation Service of South Africa (1995-1997), Business strategy Consultant with Deloitte and Touche in Johannesburg (1994-1995), Business Consultant with Deloitte and Touche in Nairobi (1990-93), External Auditor with Coopers and Lybrand in Nairobi (1984-85 & 88-90).

Mr. Chris Ogbechie has his first degree from Manchester University and MBA from Manchester Business School. He has wide experience in marketing and strategy derived from his work as Head of Marketing/Sales at Nestle Nigeria, Xerox and from his consulting work with Nigerian firms over the years. While in Nestle he had wide international exposure in Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland.His current research interests are in strategy and corporate governance.
